Ricardo Vega, a passionate tattoo artist, creates unique and meaningful designs. He was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and raised in Texas. Ricardo’s love for art emerged early on. However, he didn’t pursue art school due to its high cost and limited opportunities.
Instead, Ricardo chose a career in construction as a low voltage data technician, allowing him to travel extensively. During this time, he discovered his passion for tattoos and the potential of becoming a tattoo artist. Despite not obtaining an apprenticeship, he self-taught through online resources and painting seminars. He focused on improving his skills in composition, design, values, color theory, perspective, anatomy, and various mediums like graphite, charcoal, and oil paint.
After tattooing from home, Ricardo secured a spot at a street shop and later joined one of Texas’ finest realism studios. Today, he has a dedicated following who admire his personalized designs, attention to detail, and commitment to their vision.
Apart from tattooing, Ricardo continues to expand his knowledge and prioritize his physical health. He remains devoted to personal and artistic growth, aspiring to travel and explore diverse cultures and artistic styles.
